Labor Day 2009

Labor Day is officially a day to rest in honor of our American workers. Well the Marra’s celebrated Labor Day Weekend with 3 days of Fun, Family and Food! (Lo-Carb food for all us dieters)
We kicked off the weekend with our cousins Ed and Janet Fay coming in for a weekend visit on Saturday. Never to arrive empty handed the Fay’s brought in 6 plus pounds of Italian sausage which we properly dispatched of during Saturday’s First Lo-Carb dinner.
Sunday brought around a day of playing in the pool with the Earl girls, Erika and Anabelle, while a 16 pound turkey was roasting on the rotisserie! Lori produced several Lo-Carb side dishes to accompany the turkey and we all sat down to our Second Lo-Carb feast of the weekend that evening.
Monday took us out in the sun for lots more pool time followed by giant Lo-Carb barbeque cook out. Our old CA neighbors and honorary grandparents, Mike and Ann Terlizzi joined our old NV neighbors Charlie and Barb Hommel for our Third Lo-Carb meal of the weekend.
A great Labor Day Weekend was enjoyed by all… that is except the chickens, turkey, pigs, and cattle we ate all weekend to keep our carb intake low!
